We are seeking a talented Lead Artist to join our Live Operations department. In this role, you will supervise and guide a team of artists, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality art assets for ongoing game content. Reporting to the Art Director and working closely with project managers, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the live game experience.

Responsibilities

  • Art Supervision: Lead and mentor a team of artists, fostering a creative, collaborative, and productive work environment.
  • Task Management: Organize and prioritize assignments to ensure alignment with project timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Art Director to implement the overall artistic vision, and collaborate with project managers to coordinate art tasks with development schedules.
  • Quality Control: Review and critique art assets to ensure they meet style guidelines and maintain a consistently high level of quality.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and refine production workflows to improve team efficiency and output quality.
  • Content Creation: Contribute to the creation of art assets for events, updates, and seasonal content, supporting the ongoing evolution of the game.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years in game art, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing a range of styles and high-quality game art relevant to live operations.
  • Software Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Miro).
  • AI Knowledge: Familiarity with AI tools and technologies in art creation, and a genuine interest in their potential within gaming.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey ideas and feedback clearly and effectively.
  • Self-management: Strong multitasking abilities with the capacity to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
